Microsoft pushes CRM, ERP to dynamic centre stage

Australia is included in a landmark international launch of Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009, due on 1 December 2008.

Microsoft Dynamics is a line of financial, customer relationship and supply chain management solutions that helps businesses work more effectively.

At Convergence 2008 Copenhagen, the premier Microsoft Dynamics customer event, corporate vice president of Microsoft Business Solutions Kirill Tatarinov, announced the launch during his keynote address, "The Dynamic Business," in which he stressed his company's commitment to continuous innovation across its enterprise resource planning (ERP) and customer relationship management (CRM) products.

"Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 allows us to squarely address the needs of midsize businesses in today's economic climate and to support our partners' investments. By using the role-specific user friendly ERP solution, both groups can boost productivity and work smarter, maximizing their effectiveness in driving business impact."

The suite introduces new capabilities designed to increase ERP usage and support business productivity across an organisation, including:
- Personalised "role centers" addressing 21 key job functions with tools, alerts and efficiency capabilities;
- Sophisticated SQL-based business intelligence capabilities to enable data drilling, trend identification, generation of business insights and tracking of key performance indicators;
-.NET Web Services to allow partners and customers to integrate data and business logic and create web-based data sharing and processing solutions.
