Why Now?

Happy accidents do happen. Launching a blog about productivity during the worst financial crisis since the great Depression may seem like bad timing, but the contrarian within says, 'seize the day'!

Credit is tight, inflation and unemployment may be rising, but production must grind on. Climate change and the shifting fortunes of old and new economies mean local productivity is subject to powerful external forces.

What does this mean for the sustainability of Australian industry, businesses of all sizes, agriculture, government services and communities?

We'd like to hear from anyone with an opinion on productivity issues as they arise, or in review.

On reflection, what productivity measures have been successful for you in your business, at work, study, or at home?
